Sen. Michot joins The Picard Group

Former Louisiana Sen. Mike Michot, who represented Lafayette Parish, has joined the governmental affairs and business consulting firm The Picard Group, according to The Baton Rouge Business Report. Michot retired from the Louisiana Legislature after 16 years.


Champagne joins Apex Innovations

Apex Innovations of Lafayette has hired Chase Champagne as their new program development/lead 3D graphic artist. Champagne has worked with 3D graphic animation with Pixel Magic, including “Harry Potter” and “Chronicles of Narnia.”


Honors bestowed on two at Van Eaton & Romero

Judy Garber was presented with the 2011 Lloyd G. Smith Lifetime Achievement Award by the Realtor Association of Acadiana (RAA) and David Gleason was installed as the 2012 RAA president. Both are employees of Van Eaton & Romero.

Garber was recognized for more than 30 years of service to the real estate profession as well as her activity on the local, state and national levels. Garber is an active member of her community, serving in organizations including Girl Scouts of America and Habitat for Humanity.

As RAA president, Gleason will represent the association at public affairs functions that affect the real estate industry and conduct monthly board of directors meetings, among other responsibilities.

Gleason holds a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and was the inaugural president of the RAA Realtors Commercial Alliance.

In addition to Gleason, five other Van Eaton & Romero agents were elected to the 2012 board of directors: Lori McCarthy, Lisa Sheppert, Allen Duhe, Troy Hebert and Paula Duncan.


Geologist Cring named to head LAGCOE

Angela Cring has been selected executive director of Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition (LAGCOE). Originally from Alexandria, Cring has a B.S. in environmental geology and political science from Millsaps College and an M.S. in geology from the University of Mississippi. She has worked for the U.S. Geological Survey as a geo-hazards geologist. Cring is also a graduate of Leadership Lafayette Class XXIV and has volunteered for the Delta Delta Delta Fraternity, St. Barnabas Church, Junior League of Lafayette, The Leadership Institute of Acadiana and Millsaps College.


Rhinehart promoted to VP of Andrew Coaching


Bryan Rhinehart

Bryan Rhinehart, principled leadership coach with Andrew Coaching, was promoted to vice president. Rhinehart is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) that holds a MBA with a concentration in healthcare administration and a bachelor of science in business administration, both from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. He is a native of New Orleans.

Jeremy Anderson joins Keller Williams Acadiana

Jeremy Anderson has joined the market center of Keller Williams Realty Acadiana. Anderson is a native of Lafayette, a graduate of Acadiana High and an undergraduate student majoring in marketing.
